If we were to compare the clinic’s development to a person’s life, it would no longer be a young and inexperienced youth, but a mature professional with rich life experience, a clear vision, and a strong system of values. Within a few years, we noticed that the demand for specialized vein care in Latvia continued to grow. Therefore, in 2008, a decision was made to establish the Vein Centre clinic. Along with the establishment of the clinic, outreach consultations in regions across Latvia were also launched, making vein health care accessible not only in Riga but throughout the entire country. This tradition continues today — the clinic’s specialists regularly visit Liepaja, Daugavpils, Jekabpils, Jelgava, Gulbene, and other cities, providing top-quality diagnostics and consultations directly in the regions.
One of Europe’s most modern clinics in laser medicine and vein treatment
The development path of Dr. Maurins Clinic is an example of how purposeful work, professionalism, and innovation can transform the healthcare sector across an entire country. In 2009, an important stage of development began — the clinic started receiving patients at its branch at 148 Brivibas Street, Riga, and the following year expanded its operations by opening another branch at 33 Kalnciema Street. During this period, leg vein surgeries were performed in various medical institutions — at Dr. Feldmanis Clinic, the ENT Clinic, and in Daugavpils. In 2012, a modern clinic was opened in Mežaparks, at 18A Kokneses Avenue, featuring two operating rooms, three patient wards, and seven consultation and procedure rooms. Here, not only was the range of services expanded, but new specialties were also introduced representing proctology, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine. The clinic operated under two names — “Dr. Maurins Vein Clinic” and “Laser Medical Clinic”, with a total area of 400 m². In 2023, a new, even larger and more modern clinic was opened at 4 Jauna Mezaparka Street. Here, by combining the latest technologies with a professional team, the range of services was expanded and operations were consolidated under a single brand — “Dr. Maurins Clinic.”

Today, Dr. Maurins Clinic can proudly claim to be one of the most modern clinics in Europe for laser medicine and vein treatment. More than half of all vein surgeries in Latvia are performed right here at our clinic! The new clinic has been designed to allow us to introduce even more innovations over the next 10–15 years, ensuring the highest medical standards in Latvia.
