He obtained his medical degree from the University of Latvia, where he also completed his residency, gaining qualification as a surgeon. He has been working at the Department of Surgery at Riga Stradiņš University since 2017, teaching foreign students and future doctors. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at Riga Stradiņš University, focusing on the application of fluorescence cholangiography during laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with acute cholecystitis. He regularly updates his knowledge at various international conferences and courses in Europe and worldwide.
He provides consultations to patients with gallstone disease, pancreatic disorders, abdominal wall hernias, and skin lesions. A treatment plan is developed during the consultation. He performs laparoscopic surgeries at Dr. Maurins Clinic.
Specializes in the treatment of gallstone disease, using innovative treatment methods, and has gained additional theoretical and practical knowledge in France, the Netherlands, the United States, and other parts of the world.
