He studied at the Faculty of Medicine of the Latvian Medical Academy. He completed his residency at the Department of Surgery at Riga Stradins University. He has completed postgraduate training in vascular ultrasonography at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital and attended courses by the Baltic Phlebology Association. He has also interned at one of the largest medical centers in Europe – Centre Hospitalier Regional Universitaire de Lille's Department of General and Endocrine Surgery in France. He honed his skills in sclerotherapy with the method's pioneer, Professor Shadek, in Paris. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic system diseases – including conventional surgeries, laser surgeries, and sclerotherapy. He is a member of the Baltic Phlebology Association, the Latvian Phlebology Association, and the Latvian Surgeons' Association. He is the author of numerous scientific publications.
